The original invites for the Summer Book Club: (just in case you missed it!)

Hi everyone!
Do you live near Binghamton, or want to drive there every couple of weeks?
Do you want to continue enjoying great discussions about new, up and coming young adult literature?
If you do, this club is for you!
Someone mentioned last week about wanting to do a book club over the summer, and so I'm here to advertise that great idea. Here's the great plan:
-- We (whoever wants to meet) read a new YAL book every two or three weeks.
-- Then, we meet at a predetermined place (Barnes and Noble in Vestal came to mind).
-- And we DISCUSS the book, drink expensive coffee, and reminisce about the days of yore (optional, of course).
-- Then, we pick another book, and do it all over again! Sounds like a great time, huh?
So, if this is something you would LOVE to participate in, regularly or not (we would prefer regularly, really), comment on this post so we can organize and arrange a meeting time/place and our first book for this AWESOME SUMMER BOOK CLUB.

An update on the Summer Book Club thingy:
**Start thinking of an available day and time so that we can plan accordingly!
**Also, think of some possible titles that we can discuss as options for the first hit of the summer.
**Plan on meeting at the end of the semester for a preliminary discussion about our intentions for the summer...all ideas and suggestions are most welcome!

Hey Dawn!
I'm really excited about the Awesome Summer Book Club happenings! Thanks for taking the initiative to initiate (Ha Ha) a gathering of YAL fans. I like the idea of continuing great literature discussions and collecting a list of YAL titles for my classroom. Sounds like a great time. Do you suggest that we read the same book or different ones? Do you have any titles in mind?
Barnes and Noble sounds like an ideal place to meet. As an alternative, we might consider meeting at the Cyber Cafe on Main St in Binghamton. I understand that university students often meet upstairs in one of the rooms for book discussions. The cafe serves coffee, hot chocolate, tea, food, and alcohol beverages. Unfortunately, books are not for sale there.
